H.K. Designs and Hari Krishna Exports Set a New World Record for Most Diamonds Set in One Ring

On 11th March 2023, H.K. Designs and Hari Krishna Exports Pvt. Ltd. from India achieved a Guinness World Records title for creating a ring featuring the most diamonds ever set in one ring — an astonishing 50,907 diamonds.

The Journey Behind the Record-Breaking Ring

The original vision was to create a rare piece of art that stands in a class of its own. At the same time, the team aimed to showcase expertise in unique design concepts and exceptional craftsmanship.

As a front runner in CSR initiatives, the company wanted this jewellery piece to reflect the Group’s passion for sustainability.

After evaluating multiple concepts, the team selected a design inspired by the Sunflower. This flower symbolises vibrancy, strength, and positivity, making it a perfect representation of nature’s brilliance.

The entire journey, from ideation to final craftsmanship—took nearly nine months. Due to the complexity of setting over 50,000 diamonds, precision was critical. Moreover, the computer-aided design (CAD) phase alone required almost four months before final approval.

Craftsmanship, Sustainability, and Structure

The Ring was crafted entirely from recycled materials. It features recycled 18kt gold and diamonds re-purposed from customer returns.

The structure consists of eight components, including four layers of petals, the shank, two diamond discs, and a butterfly element. Ultimately, expert craftsmen hand-set each of the 50,907 diamonds.

Named Eutierria — meaning becoming one with nature — the Ring symbolises the deep connection between humans and the environment. Furthermore, for every diamond set in the Ring, the HK Group will plant one tree, reinforcing its commitment to climate action and sustainability.

Certification, Valuation, and Global Showcase

A team of qualified diamond and jewellery experts from the International Gemological Institute (IGI) certified and evaluated the Ring.

The final gold weight stands at 460.55 grams, while the diamond weight totals 130.19 carats. The Ring holds a retail value of $785,645.

The Eutierria Ring will be displayed at Hari Krishna Exports Booth #D42 during the GemGenève show from 11th to 14th May 2023. Additionally, it will appear at H.K. Designs Booth #PC-170 at the JCK Las Vegas Show from 2nd to 5th June 2023.
