KISNA Diamond and Gold Jewellery, a leading brand from the Hari Krishna Group, created history by organising the 10th edition of the KISNA Diamond Marathon simultaneously across 57 cities in India, on 28th December, 2025 registering a Guinness World Records™ attempt under the title “Most cities to coordinate the same 5 km race simultaneously.”
The unprecedented initiative positioned KISNA as India’s first jewellery brand to conceptualise and execute a nationwide, synchronised marathon, transforming a fitness event into a unified national movement aligned with the vision of ‘Swachh Bharat, Swasth Bharat’.
The marathon witnessed more than 19,000 participants running across metropolitan cities, tier-2 towns, and rural locations, including villages such as Dudhala. Race categories included 5 km, 10 km, and 21 km, with synchronised starts across all 57 cities, reflecting meticulous planning and seamless coordination.
By integrating fitness with civic responsibility, the initiative reinforced the objectives of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and the Fit India Movement, encouraging healthier lifestyles, environmental awareness, and active citizen participation.

From Dehradun, Rajeshbhai Dholakia and Dravyabhai Dholakia ensured strong grassroots participation, while Dharmeshbhai Dholakia and Heetbhai Dholakia drove impactful engagement across South India. Brijeshbhai Dholakia led the initiative in Jamshedpur, with Hasubhai Dholakia steering meaningful action in Lucknow.
In Surat, the movement was led by Tulsibhai Dholakia, Shri Himmatbhai Dholakia, and Pintubhai Dholakia, reflecting the city’s entrepreneurial and community spirit. Mumbai saw dynamic leadership from Shri Ghanshyambhai Dholakia and Hitarthbhai Dholakia, while Padma Shri Savjibhai Dholakia’s presence in Dudhala (Amreli) brought inspiration and purpose.
At the iconic Statue of Unity, Nareshbhai Lunagaria led the initiative, symbolising national unity at its finest.
Together, these leaders transformed a shared vision into a true pan-India people’s movement.
The marathon was executed with standardised race formats, unified messaging, and simultaneous flag-offs nationwide, demonstrating operational excellence and large-scale collaboration. Participants at several locations also took part in tree-planting activities, linking physical fitness with sustainability.
Industry representatives, fitness advocates, and community leaders were present across multiple locations, highlighting the growing role of corporate-led wellness initiatives in nation-building.

In Surat, the heart of India’s diamond industry, the marathon saw 3,576 enthusiastic participants, contributing significantly to the nationwide turnout.
The Surat edition was graced by Hon. Mayor Shri Daxesh Mavani, who attended as Chief Guest and said:
“Surat once again sets an example through initiatives like the KISNA Diamond Marathon. Such events promote fitness, unity, and inspire our youth to strive for excellence in sports and life.”

The event was further dignified by the presence of Shri Tulsibhai Dholakia and Shri Himmatbhai Dholakia, whose leadership underscored the family’s enduring commitment to social responsibility.

Participants received race kits, including Dri-Fit apparel, timing-chip bibs, hydration support, and post-run refreshments. Commemorative medals were distributed, and winners at select locations were awarded prizes, including KISNA Diamond Jewellery.
During the event, Mr. Milind Verlekar, Guinness World Records™ facilitator associated with the Government of India and a fitness advocate, formally acknowledged the achievement, marking the official recognition of the record attempt.

The KISNA Diamond Marathon has been organised annually for the past nine years, with more than 36,000 participants worldwide since its inception. The 2025 edition recorded the highest participation to date, reflecting growing public engagement, particularly in smaller towns and villages.
