Dholakia Foundation, philanthropic arm of Hari Krishna Exports Pvt. Ltd. Received the Water Sustainability Award for the category ‘Protect and Restore Community Water Resources’

Dholakia Foundation is Hari Krishna Exports Pvt. Ltd. has received the Water Sustainability Award from The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) in the category ‘Protect and Restore Community Water Resources. This award is given to the foundation in recognition of their exceptional efforts in promoting sustainable water management in the community.

 

The Dholakia Foundation has made important contributions to the environment. They have created 111 lakes in India’s drought-prone areas, planted 2.5 million trees, as well as promoting Mother Earth protection. These accomplishments directly support several Sustainable Development Goals, including SDG6 (“clean water and sanitation”), SDG13 (“climate action”) and SDG14 (“life below water”) as well as SDG15 (“life on the land”).

 

Mr.Himmat Dholakia and Mr.Rajesh Dholakia expressed their gratitude for the Water Sustainability Runners up Award. They said that they were honored to be awarded this award. It is a testimony to our foundation’s commitment towards environmental sustainability. Our efforts to create new lakes in drought-prone areas will help restore local water resources and support those who depend on them.

 

The Dholakia Foundation’s commitment to environmental sustainability is outstanding. The new initiative of creating 75 lakes will undoubtedly bring about positive changes in the community. Many are inspired by the foundation’s dedication to protecting the environment. It is also aligned with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
